and within 200 miles of 85% of the population of Texas. Cameron
is approximately 78 miles, from Austin, the state capitol; 148 miles

economy and geography please visit www.cameronindustrialfoundation.com.
Situated in the rolling to level terrain of the Gulf Coastal Plain,
the northwest part of Milam County is on the Blackland Prairies
and the southeast part in the timbered Post Oak Belt. Given our
geography you might imagine that our landscape is dominated by beautiful
farm land and accented by tree lined creeks and rivers – most
certainly a landscape favorable for peaceful relaxing get-a-ways
and small town living. We invite you to explore Cameron, by taking
a drive down our tree lined streets, visiting historic downtown,
or attending a performance at the new C.H.
Yoe High School Performing Arts Center. Come to visit…decide
to stay a day or a life time.
